The Fox & Geese bottling site dates back to the early 1950’s when it was first used as a cask storage and maturation warehouse by Powers which was one of the constituent companies along with Jameson and Cork Distilleries which formed Irish Distillers in 1966.

It is located in West Dublin and is bounded by the main road south N7 Naas Road and is approximately one kilometer from the M50 Roundabout, gateway from Dublin to the North, South and West of Ireland.

Bottling Operations

Bottling and vatting operations commenced on site in 1965 The Bottling complex occupies a site of approximately 6 hectares and comprises a number of modern industrial buildings and associated cased goods warehouses.

The total number of employees on site is 120.

Today there are six modern bottling lines bottling a variety of spirits i.e. Whiskey, Gin and Vodka in sizes ranging from 50ml. to 1.5 Litre.

Jameson is our flagship brand and is bottled on site for export to more than 112 markets globally. All spirits are vatted and compounded on site.

The annual bottling capacity based on a single shift five day operation is as follows:

• Cases: 4 million
• 9 Litre Cases: 2.75 million

Quality Assurance

Fox & Geese is accredited to ISO 9001:2000 Quality Management System since 1992. An audit of the Quality System is conducted by N.S.A.I. (National Standards Authority of Ireland) twice per year.

Environmental

Fox & Geese is accredited to ISO 14001 and an audit of our Environmental Systems is conducted by N.S.A.I. twice a year.

Safety

The site is a lower tier site under the Seveso II Directive (96/82/EC). The legislation is aimed at preventing major accidents involving dangerous substances and limiting the consequences of such accidents from human beings and the environment.

Fox & Geese is also certified to I.S.R.S. (International Safety Rating System).

Package Waste

Irish Distillers is a member of REPAK. Packaging waste i.e. glass, cardboard aluminium etc. is segregated at source on site and recycled by an approved Waste Management Company.
