Warehouse Facility

The warehousing facility in Fox & Geese dates back to the early 1960’s when the cask storage and maturation warehouses were converted into a cased goods storage facility.

Capacity

The old warehouse complex consisted of 5 low height warehouses that had a capacity of 170,000 cases. A decision was taken in light of the growth of Jameson and production at Fox & Geese to expand and invest in our warehousing facilities.

Between 1999 and 2000 2 new high bay warehouses, 11 & 12, were constructed. The capacity of these warehouses is 315,000 cases and they total floor space is 3,400 square metres.

In 2006 the old warehouse complex was demolished and is currently being replaced by a new high bay warehouse, number 14, which will have a capacity of 300,000 c/s and a floor space of 2,400 square metres.

Our warehouse complex is managed by a bin and bay operation via SAP.

Throughput

It is anticipated that the new complex will dispatch circa 7 million cases in 2007. Stock is received from the production lines, other Irish Distillers warehouses, third party warehouses and other Pernod Ricard warehouses.

Stock is issued to domestic customers, export customers, other Irish Distillers warehouses and third party warehouse.

Number of Stock items

Current there are circa 750 stock keeping items that are held for sale in our warehouse complex. Of these 400 are sold on the domestic market and 350 are distributed to over 112 international market’s.
