This is activated on many different levels globally and platforms range from a partnership with the Tribecca and Cannes film festivals to bespoke awards at other high profile film festivals around the world.

The Jameson Dublin International Film Festival is a great example of a Jameson film sponsorship event.

The 4th Jameson Dublin International Film Festival took place from the 17th to 26th February 2006.

Jameson’s involvement was leveraged fully and an advertising spend of €400,000 made sure that the brands involvement was communicated widely.

The Jameson Dublin International Film Festival generated a significant amount of media coverage and the number of high profile stars who turned up at various different stages during the festival contributed hugely to this. This year’s festival was launched by Batman begins star Cillian Murphy and Golden Globe winner Jonathan Rhys Meyers turned up at the launch to add his support.

During the 10 days of the festival film stars and personalities in attendance included Daniel Day Lewis and his director wife Rebecca Miller, Ralph Fiennes, Brendan Gleeson, Julie Walters and John Hurt amongst many others.

Jameson's global film sponsorship platform has been given a major boost by the addition of a three year sponsorship deal with the Tribeca Film Festival in New York. The Tribeca Film Festival was founded by Robert De Niro post the atrocities in New York on September 11th, to bring some joy back to the streets of Manhattan.

Now in its fifth year the Tribeca Film Festival is one of the world's most high profile film festivals and attracts a large number of celebrities and film personalities along each year. This year's festival took place from the 17th to the 26th May and attendees included Matt Dillon, Naomi Watts, Tom Cruise, P Diddy, Kanye West and a host of other major stars. Jameson was the signature whiskey poured at all festival bars and parties. A celebratory lunch was held with Robert De Niro in his restaurant - the Tribeca Grill, with Paul Duffy, CEO of Irish Distillers to mark Jameson's new partnership with the festival.

Jameson was the official drinks sponsor for the Canal Plus organised "My Blueberry Nights" party which took place at Palais Khayat on Wednesday the 21st June. A special Jameson / Blueberry cocktail was created especially for the event. The Jameson girls were dressed in Diner Style dresses to match the theme of the night.

Jameson cocktails were also served at the Jameson Drum Bar in the Canal Plus area at the famous Palais Riveria in Cannes.
